Project Overview
The goal of this project is to create a social media calendar that effectively promotes The Right Size’s size-inclusive clothing line and empowers their target audience through the use of relevant holidays, events, and promotions. The calendar should also optimize post timing and frequency to reach the largest number of people in the target audience.
Project Execution and Results
In this project, we were tasked with creating a social media calendar for The Right Size, a size-inclusive clothing company. Our first step was to review the research document provided, which contained information about the company’s target audience, largest age groups, and most popular social media platforms.
We used this information to select the three social media platforms that we believed would reach the largest number of people in the target audience.
Next, we determined the timing and frequency of posts on each platform. We considered the type of platform (chronological or algorithm-based) and the highest target audience activity time to plan when to post. We also decided on the topics of the content we wanted to publish, basing it on the holidays and events happening around the time of the posts and related company promotions.
We also selected types of content to publish, considering the common formats for social media content and what works best on different platforms. We also reviewed the research document to get a sense of the types of content that are popular with the target audience.
We then planned the copy for two posts and described the assets needed for two posts, keeping in mind the post’s topic and format and the character limitations of the platform.
We spreadsheet to organize all the information and plan the calendar in a centralized location.
Overall, this project allowed us to create a comprehensive social media calendar that effectively promotes The Right Size’s size-inclusive clothing line and empowers their target audience through the use of relevant holidays, events, and promotions.
